Board committees: Nominations

Having grown up in Alexandria, LA, Julian Beaudion is no stranger to living with many issues most Sioux Falls residents face today. Born to a family of public servants, Julian spent his childhood observing how positive changes can occur with simple acts of service to communities. Julian also spent part of his childhood observing how addiction, poverty and lack of education hindered opportunities to succeed in his family and his city. Upon graduation from high school, Julian went on to studied biology at Louisiana Tech University.

In 2006, Julian moved to Sioux Falls and fell in love with the city. He and his wife, Del’Inkka Beaudion, have three beautiful daughters together, Jamiah, Jalayah and Jalysse. Julian and his wife are the proud owners of Swamp Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen and Doo-Gooders Pet Waste Removal.

Julian has been a law enforcement officer for the State of South Dakota for more than 10 years. He’s the Director of the SD African American History Museum and Vice President of Establishing Sustainable Connection and a proud member of the Face It TOGETHER Board of Directors.

Julian and his family have dedicated themselves to public safety and public service. His integrity, commitment to community and enthusiasm for unity and diversity is paralleled by few.
