Terri is Face It TOGETHER’s longest-serving coach. She has a special interest in helping members with childhood trauma and criminal justice involvement, as well as those in the LGBTQIA+ community.

Coach type: Person with addiction

Coaching since: 2009

Lived experience:
I grew up in a toxic environment in California and suffered from the effects of childhood trauma for years. My drug addiction started when I was about 11 years old, and I began my wellness journey around age 37 after spending time in prison. The early years of recovery were a struggle, but they allowed me to become who I am. I was finally able to find truth and fulfillment in my life.

You can hear more of Terri's story on this episode of the Peace on Drugs podcast.

Professional background:
I've served as a paid addiction management coach for several years. Prior to that, I spent five years volunteering as a Face It TOGETHER coach and worked for more than 25 years in the food industry.

Expertise:
Criminal justice system, drug court, LGBTQIA+ community, childhood trauma

Interests:
I enjoy riding my Harley Davidson around the country, exploring the beauty of the national forests and the great outdoors. I also have a passion for animals and creating found art.
